Dr. Alfredo Quiñones-Hinojosa - the world famous neurosurgeon from the John Hopkins University School of Medicine - leads a yearly mission trip to Mexico, where, together with his team, he performs critical neurosurgery procedures on children and adults in the province of Guadalajara.

As part of the mission, the team holds teaching seminars for local neurosurgeons to share their pioneering knowledge and techniques, and also provides the local hospital with much needed medical supplies.

During the 2014 mission, Dr. Quiñones-Hinojosa and his team successfully performed 5 life-saving, highly complex neurosurgical procedures.
